So, I get asked a lot - what a day in the life of a wedding planner is like. Well, this past year has been a little different than years in the past! Every day is actually different. I spend a lot of time getting to know my clients, working to keep them organized, vendor meetings, design consultations, meeting with new clients, and blogging.
This year I am homeschooling, so my days look a little different. I normally get up before everyone else and try to get to the gym. This doesn't always happen, but I try to make it a priority. Then I come home to a good cup of coffee, get my daughter dressed and start homeschooling. While she is doing seat work I try to check my emails and respond to them. I also try to email vendors to schedule appointments and do the busy work. If time allows, I try to add a blog, but this has been the one thing that has gotten pushed to the back burner.
After school work is done, we have lunch. Next up...dance. Did I mention that my daughter is in competition dance? Well, that takes a lot of time and chauffeuring. So, I try to schedule phone calls during dance. This gives me the chance to talk without the interruptions from my little one. Then we head home, this is when I cook dinner. We always try to eat as a family without technology. Clean the kitchen and then its our bedtime routine. Once I put my daughter to bed I either have Zoom calls scheduled with clients or I sit down to finally relax. And that is a typical day!
Now, on wedding days...that is a totally different story for another blog!
Happy Planning!!
